Over the past few years, Amazon has turned into the virtual go-to shopping hangout for everything anyone would need ranging from books and gadgets to electronics, clothes, and household goods. When you look at all the deals and savings programs offered, it’s easy to see why everyone is shopping on Amazon.
There are many ways you can save with Amazon by combining some of the following programs and techniques you can certainly maximize your savings overall.

Amazon Prime has been around for several years and it’s most popular for offering free shipping to anyone who subscribes to the service.

Prompt shipping comes in handy when you have place orders at the last minute and need them to arrive in less than a week. Other benefits to joining Prime include:

I use Amazon Prime for free shipping all the time and we watch a lot of TV shows on it just like Netflix. Amazon’s Music Library offers a wide selection of music and I like how they don’t play ads between songs like on Pandora. If you haven’t signed up for Prime yet, you can start with a free trial now to try it out. If you’re a college student, you’ll qualify for Amazon Student. You would receive the same benefits as regular Prime members but at a discounted rate and instead of a free 30-day trial, you’d get a free 6-month trial.
Free Shipping
Even if you don’t sign up for Amazon Prime, you can still take advantage of free shipping. If your order exceeds $35 or more, it will ship for free. This option is great for larger purchases or if you need to stock up on a particular item. By utilizing Amazon’s Wish List feature, you should be able to brainstorm a list of items you truly need and then make a purchase once your total reaches $35 or more.
Amazon Mom
Amazon Mom is a great Amazon Prime membership program that moms can use to save money on baby expenses. With the baby registry discount, you will be able to save 15% when you purchase the things you didn’t receive after the baby is born.

Amazon’s Warehouse Deals are like a hidden goldmine. You can score great deals on items that have been shipped back to Amazon or gently used. These often refurbished open-box deals can save you a pretty penny when you scour the Warehouse Deals first before searching through Amazon regularly for your favorite products.

Amazon partners with Kindle, but with their reading App, you don’t necessarily have to own a Kindle device in order to take advantage of the hundreds of digital e-books there are out there. Shop the Clearance Section
When you go to your favorite store do you ever run to the clearance section first to see what deals are available? You can do the same thing when shopping on Amazon. When all else fails, there’s always the clearance section. Brand new marked down jewelry, apparel, toys and more can all be found in the clearance section on Amazon. I check the clearance section all the time before I do my regular search for a product.
Coupons
Don’t forget about Amazon’s coupon page! Amazon offers hundreds of coupons that you can clip digitally and apply to your purchases. Online coupons are so much easier to clip and apply to purchases than actual paper coupons and Amazon’s coupons offer some of the best value I’ve ever seen.
When you normally hear the word ‘coupon’, you may think 50 cents off this or that, but Amazon’s coupons give you the best value with 25 to 35 percent off goods and anywhere from $2 to $20 dollars off certain merchandise. When you combine coupons with free shipping, you’ll start to see some significant savings and the best part is being able to do all the shopping from the comfort of your home.
